ST LEGER & VINEY was founded in 1989 to offer decorative furnishing fabrics and wallpaper to the trade in South Africa.
Gary Searle the Managing Director and his co-founders believed an opportunity existed to provide high-end classic design at competitive prices.
Initially the company’s product was entirely locally sourced, however, materials were soon developed with overseas weaving mills and printers to broaden the range available and meet the demand for the company’s signature look.
The next development was the establishment of ST LEGER International to house the company’s international agency business.
Today ST LEGER & VINEY proudly represents some of the world’s most prestigious brands and distributes collections from more than 40 International
suppliers. Our range has continued to grow and diversify however, and we believe that we offer the very best quality in all product and price ranges, striving to achieve excellence in all that we offer.
From a loyal group of interior decorators in the early days, the company has consistently grown its market share. ST LEGER & VINEY is now a leading player in the following markets: the decorator trade, the hospitality industry, the architectural profession, specifiers, furniture manufacturers, and directly to the public, ranking among the leading wholesalers in the country.
ST LEGER & VINEY’S staff complement is currently sixty strong with dedicated sales teams in each region, a customer service division and warehouse team.
